I always find it hard to exercise and stay fit while traveling - there's always so many new foods to try, planes and busses to sit on, and tiny hotel rooms with no extra space. In this series, I'll be talking about stretches and strength moves you can do on holiday, as well as some other healthy habits you can follow while you're traveling this summer.
In this post I'll focus on stretches that help to balance out all the sitting that we do when we travel. As an extra bonus, they can all be done in a small space without any props (though I'll show a couple of modifications if you happen to have a yoga strap or a belt with you).
Happy travels and happy stretching!
10 minute stretchy yoga
Use this quick routine to stretch out your shoulders, hips, hamstrings, and back after a long flight, or whenever you need a pick-me-up! Stay laying down in savasana for as long as you like at the end of the class.
If you're feeling a bit stiff, grab a yoga strap (or belt/rope/whatever you have handy) and try out these modifications to some of the poses in the video.
What are your favourite stretches to do after you travel? Have you ever done yoga in an airplane or airport? Let me know in the comments!
